yzf 400

does anybody know anything about 99 model of yzf 400 I am looking at buying one any suggestions problems is it hard to keep the valves adjusted sorry about any duplication here any commets would be great from any owners or anyone who knows one

I work with a guy who has a '98 that has never had its valves adjusted!
It still refuses to die.
I think they are very reliable if well maintained, YRMV.

I've read here on DRN that the 400 and 426 are the most reliable 4 strokes.

agreed. The 99' 400 especially is bullet proof that will start every time and run all day long.

I have a 99 that has been a spot on ride. Never had any problems other that the carb. Once I got that lined out no other problems. Great all around bike.
