02 CR250 or 03 CR250...what's the difference??

I'm selling my YZ250F to upgrade to a 250 2-stroker. Two guys have two CR250's for sale, first is a 02 for $2600, second is an 03 for $3800. Both are stock and in excellent condition.
Is there a big diffence between the two such as advances in frame/engine/weight that's worth $1200 difference? Am i better off sticking with the cheaper?
All and any advice greatly appreciated!!

I am told the 03 may be better option, but you have to do what your pocket dictates

i rode a stock 03 compared to my modified 02 and my 02 blows it away but i bet i have the $1200 you would save on the 02 into it!the 03 is better stock but no way is it $1200 better.

save you money and put a new big bore or somthing on it, you can get alot of mods for 1200$!
