Well my stock d739 is about toast after 2 months of riding in the woods.

Any oppinions of using the next size larger tire on the rear? Will it fit without rubbing the swingarm or chain? Should I just stick with the 110?

The trails we ride are very hard terrain with spots of sand and softer stuff, but mostly hard dry dirt.

Thanks.

I switched to a maxxis IT rear tire and its lasted a lot longer than any dunlop I've had. Only problem is putting it on is like wrestling an anaconda.

Thanks. I've heard that about Maxxis tires. I used a Maxxis a couple years ago and it seemed very skinny compared to the d739. I didn't like it so I went back to the Dunlop.

Anyone else have any experience with a 120 d739 on the back?

I tired one. The tire was decent, but weighed 3 tons. Seriously, I could feel it. I did not buy another. My current favorite is the 756RR. You can almost see it wear out, but it sure is great while it lasts!

Seriously? I have been running the 120 D756 for a while now. It barely fits, but it seems to be wearing a little bit better than the 110. Also, you can feel that it slows down the response maybe a little bit but my bike never hooked up in the dirt anyways.

You might consider the 739G fourstroke tire, as they say the rubber is stiffer. I purchased it for my KX and paid $105 for it and it lasted me 20 rides vs. like 10. ;-)
