2006 yz250 suspension help

i have just purchased a 2006 yz250, this is my first yamaha. I have been riding honda for the last 5 years. I am kinda lost where to start with the suspension settings. The yamaha manuel does not even give you a starting point reference for compression and rebound on the forks and shock. I would be thankful for any tips or settings anyone could give me. I am a intermediate c level motorcross rider.weighing 205 pounds
