What forum were you trying to access? Some are closed to registered users. You cannot access profiles other than your own and if I remember correctly you cannot upload photos. I don't remember if you can view photo albums or not. It has been way too long since I was a registered member. ;)

If you just joined, trying to post something for sale (for sale forum), it won't allow you to post a new thread.
Subscribers and STMs can post items for sale.
