It doesn't need a powervalve in my opinion. It may give it a bit more bottom end, but that would smooth out the onslaught in the mid range that makes it the beast that it is. Also powervalves require maintenance. I can't wait till I can afford one. Check jetting or have a mechanic do it. If its flooding it will foul plugs some what fast also. CR500s are fun bikes, if honda only would have put a power valve on them so they run like a real two stroke.
