CRF 450 Exhaust

Im going to be getting my crf 450 real soon. i'm also thinking of getting an exhaust pipe/silencer combo. well as soon as i get some money to spend. This will be my first 4-stroke. do the pipe/silencers make a big difference? What is a good brand for racing? who makes a really loud silencer? any help is apreitiated. :thumb:

They make a noticeable difference, more so on the 02 than the 03, I use the pro circuit header and silencer with the 2" end cap, very good and VERY LOUD!!

what kind of gain does the pc pipe/silencer have on the powerband? top/bottom? any loss?

I just did some testing with PC last Thursday on the first run of the 03 pipes, it made the bottom noticeably snappier and even more responsive than stock ( although the difference in the stock 02 & 03 motor are huge ), and pulled harder through the mid and let it rev out quite a bit more on top. We tried several different combinations and what they are going to end up selling is going to be REALLY good I promise! It was all gain no loss in my opinion.
