THAT was a good time.

The tourch is being passed ladies.

1) JBS (won practice & the main going away, no crashes)
2) RC. No crash in the main (knarly one in his heat, had to run a semi), but had nothing for Reed and JBS, hung with Reed tho)
3) Reed. Crashed trying to run JBS' pace.

We got some great pics of the AWESOME display of sportsmanship after the win... JBS drops his bike and hit the ground... RC pulls up, drops his bike, give JBS a big ol hug, then they held each other's arms up as in "he's the man". Very cool.

Oh and to the JBS deniers? :blah: :nener: :boss:

Travis was Travis. Looked fast in practice (best laps of the weekend (practice); JBS, Reed TP, RC. 2 laps in to his head, balled it bad in the whoops, limped-off. Came back for a semi, worked thru the pack lead most, Tort got him at the end. TP did not show for the main :( . Really is a shame, but now I'm on the "he should retire" wagon.

Note: Tort's 450 was FAST in the sand section.

Good times with a bunch of DRN'ers~! We're all off to Nocona to ride tomorrow and practice some our new found Bubba skills. Pray for us all.

Sounds like WIndham was on the gas and passing, i heard he was 16th on the 1st lap??

Too all the Bubba Haters, :nener: :nener: :nener: :moon:

The weather was beautiful..We got to see WSB champion Colin Edwards in the pits so that was cool.

RC's heat race was a disaster...First a lapper was down on the track behind a blind jump at the end of the whoops causing RC to fall, then after a couple of laps he did another front end washout after getting up...He didn't figure out the rythym section until the last couple of laps of his semi...RC looked smooth in the main though and seemed to have the front end dialed in..

In the main Reed made a mistake right before the sand section and RC passed him and then RC let Reed by in a "protect mode" move then pressured Reed the whole way and they came up on some lappers and Reed did an RC-like front end washout....Looks like Reed's championship hopes went down the tubes...

In his heat race Reed nearly did a major loop out in the rythym section, I couldn't believe he actually saved it...

Bubba was on tonight...He was the only one with no major bobbles...I was impressed because he didn't try any crazy jump combos or anything, just fast and smooth...Long start straight and the 2 strokes still have it!

Grant Langston should've gotten on a Kawasaki a long time ago! Huge turn around career move for him...

Windahm had bike problems on the gate, then got a bad start. He did start clicking off passes quickly. In the 125 class Hansen took out Josh Grant in a heat, then Grant had a DNF in his semi. Langston leaves with the poin tlead after winning the main. Hansen finished mid pack. Bubba's pace was amazing, Reed rode his butt off only to be taken out by a lapper. Those guys have gotten in Ricky's head and it showed. Travis needs to hang it up. That get off in the whoops was UGLY, and looked like it rung his bell again. I Really like watching the kid ride, but his time on a supercross track is done. All in all, we had GREAT seats and a damn good time. I look forward to Houston.

You would think Bubba won a title, with the way you guys are acting. He has 1 250 win and 2 125 titles, in case you forgot.

Reed actually got tangled up with a lapped rider, his front wheel clipped the back wheel of the lapper and carmichael just rode right around him.

Pastrana's semi and the heat race with KW and Reed were the best races all night..

I agree. The 250 main was not that great of a race with Bubba walking away(same kind of race I am used to seeing but with RC up front). I can't wait for outdoors!!!

Reed was actually making up time on Bubba late in the main and walking away from RC. A lap rider took Reed's front wheel out on the last lap. Bubba did look awesome early and pulled away. last 8 laps he was losing time to Reed. Get him in top shape & he will run from everyone.

The reaction is justified and mainly for all the haters... you know; too stoopid to stay on two wheels, fast for one lap, can't go 20 laps, too immature, RC will school him, can't handle a 250, rides over his head .... it goes on and on.

Had you been there and seen to THE two fast guys made to look "normal", you might have found it impressive.

I think if you check the lap times, you'll notice JBS crusing the last 2-3 laps, showing some of the restraint most say he doesn't have.

Okie you still dont get it IMO, you think all the 'haters' dont know Bubba is fast WE DO, we KNOW he will win races-no question, But he stays on for one weekend and you claim he has got rid of his demons and doesnt crash-lets see if he can even get through next week-i doubt it, i would lay cash on him crashing in the few remaining races, and as for him ever trying to get close to RCs 2 perfect seasons???

One single ama 250 win doesnt make him the new king -he is what place in the championship now?

And i dont hate him, i think he has unreal talent with a very young head(not his fault he is very young). He will make mistakes but does seem to learn after chucking away a couple of championships.

It's funny you say that. I had a friend with us who has recently taken up riding, and this was his first supercross. He knew that RC was supposedly the best ever, Reed had been beating him etc. During the heat race with Bubba and RC, he looks at me and said "I thought that RC guy would be faster that. The dude on the Kawisaki is making him look like the rest of the field."

It was much more impressive in person than on TV. Half way through the main and the gap from Bubba to Reed was huge. They were almost on oposite ends of the stadium from each other. Bubba slowed up his pace alot in the last few laps. He was jumping the triples high and slow, he wasn't whipping and scrubbing everything to make speed. Reed did close up some, but if he would have even been close, Bubba could have driven off at will. Bubba also had the best line through the sand section choosing to run down the sides of it in the smoother parts instead of up the middle through the ruts like most everyone else. He was much faster through the whoops than RC and a little faster through them than Reed.

Stewart looked very fast to me too. He pulled a huge lead early on, and then seemed to go on cruise control. He wasnt pushing to go faster every lap after he got his lead built up. Reed and Carmichael looked to be running about the same pace, but it was obvious that Carmichael didnt want to battle with Reed. He passed him at one point, but just let him go right back around instead of putting up a fight and risk falling. Reed had 2nd place in the bag until the last lap with the lapper. I thought Carmichael rode a very smart race. He looked like he was happy to settle for 3rd, but still left himself in position to make a pass if Reed made a mistake.

Here's my opinion, which I feel fairly qualified to give as I was standing on the track for over 9 hours yesterday flagging practices, qualifiers, heats and mains (just before the sand section).

TP looked awesome. Real bummer that he went down in his heat. I missed how it happened, but he went back out for the semi and did make the main but decided not to race apparently. Also, he's got a pimped out Bently that he left in. Wow is all I can say...

Bubba is a freak.

Tyler Evans looked really good in practice until he wadded it up in practice in the sand.

They flattened out the sand section a lot before the races started. Everybody was having trouble with the section in practice, even Bubba and RC were getting sideways. After they flattened it out everybody made through no problem. I had to flag at least once in every practice for that section, and in most practices I had to multiple times. Once they flattened it out I didn't get the flag out again. Matt Walker actually crashed in almost the same spot on his first practice lap of BOTH practices.

RC looked good also, but didn't seem like he had the fire that he has in the past. In fact, it seems like he never does as well in Dallas because we're always a late round and he's out there protecting points. I don't see another perfect season for RC outdoors, but I'll be rooting for him for sure.

Others: Tim Ferry looked pretty fast, but seemed like he faded by the end of the night, nothing spectacular. Same for LaRocco (without the fading of course).. looked good but not great. Totelli was very fast also, which was somewhat surprising to me. I think he ended up 4th. Windham got a terrible start and actually showed some heart in charging back, but it was too little too late. He started second to last and ended up 5th or 6th. Without a good start there's no way RC, Bubba and CR can be caught.
