Are the 2001 traditional fork legs 43mm also??

The 1991 forks I have are 43mm and I was wondering if a set of forks from a 2001 would be the same dimension and slide in without mucking around with my triple trees which are fine.

I suspect one of my current 1991 legs may be slightly bent as it has new seals/correct oil,etc but has a pretty bad stiction problem.

Also have a buddy with a 1990 KDX-200 whose rear wheel and hub are pretty much trashed.......will a 2001 KDX-200 wheel convert onto his 1990??

Thanks.

The 2006 KDX200 has 43mm forks, and I believe they are the same fork as is on the '01.
I will check on the interchangeability of the rear hubs tomorrow.

How are your springs? Have had bad stiction with my 250 it only has .34 springs that have lost free height, had been running 15psi to help, I thought the air on the seals may have been adding to the problem but after pumping them up to 20 psi the stiction problem is much improved.

The part numbers for 1991 and for 2001 fork assemblies are different. That doesn't mean the fork leg diameters aren't the same, it may be something as insignificant as fork boot color. (or, as glad said, the way the caliper mounts)

The part numbers for 1990 and 2001 rear hubs are different, which means the parts are different in some way.

Thanks guys....

I appreciate the replies......I have an extra set of forks that work fine from a 1992 but the seals need to be re-done before I swap out the others (1991 with the stiction problem) on the bike now.

May try shooting some air in them like Tom68 suggested but I'm pretty sure I'll just swap'em out soon.

I saw a juicy pair on Flea-Bay a few days ago from a 2001 KDX-200 and was curiouis if they would fit the older E series bikes..

My buddy is SOL looking for a rear wheel for his 1990.. :whoa:
