Kick starter gears

The gears that allow the kickstarter to disengage are very worn in my 93 KDX200. Does anyone know if they are year/model specific or will gears/kickstarter assemblies from other KDX's fit?

Theres a shaft with gears from an 81 KDX420 on **** and I'm wondering if I should buy it.
