The clutch on my sons 06 kx85 will not completely let go. It will stall sometimes when stopped if in gear. I have all the slack out of the lever. We are using Bel-Ray gearsaver 80w in the tranny. Could this be to heavy? I thought 80w gear oil was = to 10w40.
Try regular 10w-30.I had the same problem on my 250,I had a new basket, but it turned out to be the steal plates being warped and a couple of springs wher weak( letting the pressure plate disengage crocked) I'm running 5w-50 synthetic now for three months and no problems at all !! Clutch holds and releases perfect!!
