Qu: Heading to the dunes

I plan on going on a trip to glamis sand dunes for the new year and am wondering where I can buy a 6 paddle tire for an 18" wheel. I searched the threads and checked the stores where people said they have purchased one and I haven't been able to find one for the 18" wheel. Does anyone know of a motorcylce store that sells one, if not how would an 8 paddle tire be. I have an FMF pipe and silencer and boysen rad valve for my engine mods.

An 8-paddle will work just fine.

I wouldn't think you would want a 6. The KDX has plenty of oomph for an 8.

re: Glamis

Don't know if you're used to riding in other sand areas...but Glamis is one heckuva lot different than local (Oregon Coast) sand. VERY sharp tops. You go flying up a dune face and you will be literally a hundred feet in the air when you go over the top! ...and the bottom is going to be receeding VERY fast!

LOTS of sidehilling going on.

It's a blast of a place!! Literally miles and MILES of rigs. Everything from million dollar outfits to...well...YOU! :nod:
