I just bought a 97 YZ125 a couple days ago and finally got a chance to take it out on the local motocross track yesterday. I noticed that the bike was really doggy taking off and wondered if there was something I can do to fix this.
I probably killed it 20 times yesterday because of the lack of power to get into first gear. Obviously, since it's a 2-stroke..and a 125 it's not going to have a whole lot of low end power..but I would think yamaha would've produce a bike that doesn't need to be rev'd really high and then drop the clutch just to get into first gear.
Also I have to basically let the clutch all the way out to engage it..is there any way I can shorten that so the clutch will engage say 3/4 of the way out?
Thanks!
