00 kx 250 manual think they are wrong

The manual tells you to measure the float level height with the carb upside down,if you do this the spring loaded pin would be compressed rather than just touching the tang on the float.so the float will drop more if you measure upside down meaning you have to bend the tang to bring the level up to 6.5mm which will give you a lower fuel level than say doing it a 60 degree angle just where the needle seat's but the pin is just resting on the tang.Does anybody think the manual is correct measuring it totally upside down?

I called the service tech at kawa in cali,I left a message ,They actually called me back,I told him,The manual does not explain the float level measurement correctly,he agreed.Like I thought, you need to have the needle just shut and the pin extented resting on the tang or the tang resting on the pin.Pretty descent of him to call me back from cali, his name was Rick. KUDOS To kawa and Rick
