I have the jug off my CR. Should the power valves just drop out once the shaft has been removed?? Mine float around in there but won't drop out and I don't want to force them.

I also need a little advice on adjusting the vavle once the motor is back together. I have the factory manual, but it
seems a little vague.

Also, is the valve actuation different after '02. I see a lot
of references to aligning something between the cylinder and the cases?? But I dont see any shaft in my cylinder.

Most of us with governor operated power valves have a rod that runs from the the governor behind the water pump and in to the cylinder and these are the parts we have to align during assembly. You have a remote operated power valve so there is nothing to line up between the cylinder and crankcase. The valves should come out through the ports, you just need to orient them properly. There should be no need to force them.
