03 KX 250 finally put some time on it(motor)

I got one, but its late and I'll load it up Wednesday night. Their not the best pics, but the bike looks fine with the tank. I'm putting off some more pics till I get my new shroud decals. I like the stock graphics and they are holding up great, but my sponsor has some cool graphics he got made just for me. The MX guys got something different. Makes me feel special or something!

Screw me once shame on you. Screw me twice shame on me. I just relearned something that I already knew: IMS products are junk. The fit is terrible, from the footpegs that I bought from them years ago for a'91 CR500(I had to grind the crap out of them to get them to fit), to the'98 KX tank(s) that I bought (and returned because they were both different- and wrong), and the latest purchase which is another piece of crap. The disclaimer on the '03 KX250 tank says that because the tank is rotationally molded it is possible for the product to vary in dimension and capacity by up to 7%. 7%!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is like shooting for Mars and landing on Venus! Funny, Clarke tanks are rotationally molded and they fit very well and don't vary in size. The rear of this tank is slightly too tall and won't allow the seat to engage the tabs on the subframe. So what do I do? Send it back for another and hope that the next one is 7% smaller at the seat/tank junction? NOT!!!!!!!!!!!! Jury rig my bike to fit the tank? NOT!!!! IMS Products, if you are reading this, you can kiss my a**! I will strap Gatorade bottles full of gas on my body before I buy another IMS product.

Oh yeah, one more thing: I did talk to Steven in tech support at IMS regarding the tank and he said I was the first to complain. Hmmmmmm. Lissa called with some issues. I also know of many others that have had issues with their products. Maybe the guy has a short memory. Whatever the case, they are in serious denial regarding the quality of their products- or lack thereof.

I agree 100% on the ims products. I have atank for my YZ 250. It leaks where the petock mounts (despite using a new gasket) and fits poorly.

They can also kiss my ....

Nevermind, there are several motorcycle parts folks in line allready.
