I just purchased a 2003 RM100 for my girlfriend. It was a bit dirty, and lacked some bottom end. I took the top end apart to check the internals, it looked surprizingly good. I'm not sure if the powervalve was working correctly. I cleaned it real well, but have a reinstall question.
When installing the cylinder and sliding the powervalve rod into the engine, which way do I preload it? When looking down from above the motor, should I rotate the rod clockwise(so the exhaust port is open) or do I rotate the rod counterclockwise (so the powervalve is restricting the exhaust port).
Thanks, Steve.
P.S. The manual is on the way.
