It's about time to check juniors clutch.
(Haven't done a motorcycle clutch in a loooong time)
Should I buy the Honda clutch holder tool from the dealer or is there an aftermarket tool available???

Motion pro makes one. Cheaper than the Honda one and fits most bikes. Can't remember how much I paid for mine..........around $50.00 I think. Good luck, YZ165

Like oldguy said, you should be able to do the entire thing without the tool unless the basket needs to be replaced. The bolts that hold the springs on are not that tight. They should come off without much effort. Give it a shot. YZ165

What do you need the holder tool for anyways? To remove the nut on the clutch basket? I always use an impact wrench to get it off.

I just worked on one of the CR 85 clutches. You should be able to accomplish this very easily. I believe I used only an 8 and 10 mm socket for the entire job.

It may not be a bad idea to have a replacement gasket on hand for the cover. Ours was not damaged in removal. This is because we had a brand new gasket on the bench.
