05 CRF250 Oil suggestions...

i just bought a used crf250r and this is my first bike in years. i was wondering what everbody is using for your engine & trans.? i know honda recommends HP4M & HP4, but they are really expensive and not sure if they are worth the extra $ for as often as you are supposed to change the oil? Any suggestions would be great!

I do know some better,more expensive oils. The silver bottle of engine oil and red trans fluid from honda are fine,change frequently.

I use HP4 10w40, both sides.
