Getting tired of restauring the pipe on my 200EXC-00 after my crashlandings  . Has anyone tried to replace the 200 pipe with a 125 pipe. The idea is that the 125 pipe has no "left-side overhang" and I guess it is less exposed. Guess it demands some jetting and might affect the power curve, but keep in mind that for my riding (mostly woods) I never lack power :thumb:

I don't think it will mount up. The mounting spots are different on the 2 pipes I believe, and 2 different motors.

Even if it did fit, you will probably put the 200 pipe right back on after you figure out it runs like crap.

I did this with no mounting hassle at all but no matter how I jetted it, it didn't work. Had awesome low end torgue but no mid or high end.

Thats strange as the factory 200SX Dobb rode had a 125 style pipe-maybe it was a custom one.

I saw a 200SX at a local dealer and the pipe looked like a 125 pipe (came straight out then back), but the mid section of the pipe was huge, like a 250.

Like Fatty said, the 03 200sx has a pipe that is extremely similar to a 125 pipe.
