I just bought a bike off of someone for 450 bucks a little while ago... the bike is a blast to ride, in pretty bad cosmetic shape but still fully functional.
I was told it was an 84... it is infact NOT an 84 but older. From the images I have found, this is the closest thing to it. which is a 78 to 80 style.

Same rear suspension setup including the "adjustable" bar running along the rear shocks/springs, same red lettering on the seat stating "CR250R" But the bike is void of any logos at all except for a "honda/fox" racing sticker on the air cleaner box.
I know you can mix and match parts such as gas tanks to an extent and this tank is plastic. The motor is red with the kickstart on the LEFT side of the bike which took some getting used to.
I need to replace the rear shocks on this bike because they are in pretty sad shape... way too bouncy...
Any help is appreciated in identifying my bike down to the year... I will have pictures of my actual bike later on today but that bike has the same body trim, rear shocks with the "adjustable" bars on it and the same lettering on the seat.
I just need to know what year bike I got and what an "Elsinore" bike is and what sets them aside. I will post up pictures later of my bike
