I believe the 86-88 bikes came with a "safety seat" design with the foam extension up on to the tank. Does anyone know if the seat bases from the 86+ air cooled models with fit my 85? The 85 has the old 175 style seat with no foam extension, I would like to restore the seat with the newer 86+ style seat. Pic of my bike, old style seat:
