1985 XT350 Vavle Adjustment

Hello,
I have a 1985 XT350 and I have a little top end clicking going on and I think it the tappets. The problem that I am having is I can not get the little pads removed with out the Yamahe YM-4106 Tappet Adjusting Tool. I aslo can't find anyone that has one. The dealer says they are discontinued. So what I am looking for is anyone have one or another way to get the pads removed. Thanks Roy

Try removing the entire bucket and then tap the edge of the bucked on a table. The pad should fall out.
