I just bought my son an 87 KDX80 and the rear shock seems too soft. Aside from changing the spring, what kind of stuff can I do to tune up the rear shock?
Spring rate is determined from sag, see racetech's website. I don't know if that shock has damping adjustment but if the damping is shot you can get it rebuilt. If the damping is working and you don't think its good enouigh you'll have to get it rebuilt by a specialist shop that can modify it to do what you want.
