1990 Ford E-150 Cargo Van

I'm looking for feedback on a van I'm going to look at tonight. The van is a 1990 Ford E-150 Extended Super Cargo Van. I'm trying to find the towing capacity for this van online but haven't had any luck so far. The ad states a V8 but at this point I don't know if it's a 4.6 or 5.4 (If those were the options in 90). The van has 233,000 Kms on it and is supposed to have a relatively new front end and re arc'ed springs. The owner has bolted in a bench seat so that there is seating for 4 and also set it up for MX with a partition wall. He states he can carry 3 full size bikes with ease in the back. I am actually not all that concerned about hauling the bikes in the back but more with getting a cheap vehicle capable of pulling a 6X10 enclosed trailer (it's killing the tranny in my 3L Dodge Caravan) and offering shelter for those camping days in the pits where it's just too darn cold for tenting.

Any feedback or area's of concern to be aware of would be appreciated.

Well I looked at it and it sure wasn't much to look at but that's not the purpose of it. It has the 302 (5.0L) and I'm not sure what tranny is in it Ol'89r. I think I may pass on this one since it is really starting to rust bad.

Thanks for the replies guys, It was definately an Overdrive tranny so odds are good it was the electronic lighter duty one. I've pretty much ruled this one out and my search for the perfect support vehicle for the poor continues :)
