1994 Cr 250 ...?

Hello, I need some opinion on the 94 CR 250, found one for a good price of 1500, overall good shape, not to ragged out at all, just wondering if this older bike is better to get parts or is this getting on the outer limits within the purchase of parts, etc. My logic is that a Honda has to be the easiest to get parts. Any input would be good....thanks a lot...Jim

Great bike very powerful. Wouldnt pay more than 1200 thought. Add a 140z flywheelweight and check to see it the swingfarm bolts not seized before you buy! Great bike.

Great bike.Used to own one.A 92 as well.Parts are no problem as that motor was around in basically the same form from 92-01.

I got a '95 in good shape for $1000. It looked a little ragged, so I spent $100 on new fenders & graphics. It almost looks like new now. Parts were easy to find & it has been reliable so far. If you keep it in the powerband it's very fast. Fun bike!

I bought a '94 CR250 just a short while ago in excellent shape for $650, it was a pretty good bike, not as much bottom or midrange as I like, but quite a hit on top...

my brother is a big honda nut so I traded it to him, it was a great bike, but it just wasnt "me", and didnt fit me good personally... my brother loves it though...

there seems to be quite a supply of parts around for it still...

I have one now, deffinetly a great bike, gnarly pipe makes for a great woods bike. $1500 is what i paid for mine.

So do most of you think 1500 is to much? He is stuck on the price, I got him down to 1500 from 1700...thanks again. I think I will get it, just wanted more input, also I am going to use this for woods riding...and the very occasional motocross...thanks again.

$1500 isnt too bad a deal in my opinion, I'm sure there is better deals to be found, but as long as the bike is in excellent shape, I'd buy it I guess...
the guy I bought mine from originally wanted $1500 for it...

I guess my main concern would be the upkeep, I'd be courious about when the last rebuild was and what shape the inside of the motor is, $1500 could easily turn into $1900 if the cylinder is bad, and $1900 would be too much for me to pay...

I'd ask the guy about the motor upkeep and see what he has to say...

That price also depends on where you live. $650 up north here is unheard of unless its a parts bike. But i know over in new hampshire you can come by bikes for dirtcheap. Shop around a bit, but as far as i'm concerned thats not a bad price at all.
