1995 YZ shock interchangeability

I recently purchased a 1995 YZ 250 and learned the rear shock needs work. At the very least it needs an oil change and seal. It was out of nitrogen so there could be many more problems.

I am looking at the option of buying a used one online and Im curious as to what years will fit my bike. The newer ones, post 1998, look to be pretty close to the same but I dont want to take a hit if it doesnt work or couldnt be made to work.

If I could get some help with this I would greatly appreciate it or if anyone knows where I can buy a shock for my bike that is in good shape.

93 -95 yz and 94 to 97 wr have extremely similar chassis designs, I am sure other years will bolt on but eye to eye length and valving will probably be different enough not work well

Do you know anywhere I may look up specs for different years on the shock?

93- 95 YZ's are the same chassis. I don't know about the WR's though.
