I am wondering if anybody knows the difference between the 1999 KX 250 and 1999 KX 125 set up? I am wanting to make the KDX set up with the 200 mootor in my 250 chassis . I saw the conversion w/ the 125 set up and was wondering if that will work in my 250 also. I would appreciate any info that I receive.

Thanks

sorry no one got back to you on this one, All the conversions I've seen are with 125 chassis, I've not seen any 250 conversions or have not heard of any reason not to. You could check part numbers and see if they are the same between the two bikes, They sure look the same to me on the showroom floor....

I'm not sure on the '99 model but on the '03+ KXs the frames are the same except for the lower engine cradle tubes. The swingarm is different (I assume longer or something) as are some of the other bolt-ons.
I'm sure the frames you're asking about would have different part numbers but you could check part numbers on things like the radiators, swingarm bolt, air box, sub frame, and such to determine where the differences may be. In any case, there's no reason why you couldn't do the conversion with a 250.
