I currently ride a '00 yz125. The bike is getting on in hours and has many factory welds that have been rewelded because they are starting to crack.

Having said that, i have sorced an '03 yz125 frame. does anyone know what kind of work it will be to swap in the new frame? i know its not a direct fit, that is why im asking.

thanks in advance.

Hey, just wondering how the frame swap worked. I'm trying to do the same from a '98 Yz125 to a '00 YZ125 frame.

I have done this swap, but its not as easy as you think. The fuel tank mounts are lower on the 2000, so you would have to do some welding. The lower subframe mounts are different, and the swingarm/linkage mounts are different, as well as the rear shock length. Unless you can get a cheap tank, seat, subframe , airbox, swingarm, and shock.... don't do it.

Thanks for the advice. I have seen some different model year frames on ****. I think I will wait to find a '98.
