2001 DRZ 400 front # plate???

Can anyone inform me which front number plate and rear fender will fit a 2001 DRZ 400? It belongs to a friend and he wants it to look more like a mx bike. We could try some of the RM plastic but hopefully someone can save us some time and money.

Cycra has a front number plate. I have their plate on my 2000. I had modified an older RM plate prior to purchasing the Cycra, but you won't get the RM plate with fork guards in the 01 color. The rear fender I am not sure about, I just cut the taillight tabs off my stock fender and use a UFO taillight/ license plate holder when necessary. Tim

You could mount on a 96-98 RM front number plate and the fork gaurds and it will look like mike keidrowski's bike did.

I have a 2001 DRZ 400. I have a 96-98 front number plate on my bike. It will fit, but you need to buy a new fork slider from the RM that holds your brake line (approx. $30). I had to drill holes in the middle of the plate to bolt it on because the RM and DRZ have different mounting systems.
The plate will fit Applied triple clamps perfectly. They have the outside holes like the RM triple clamps.
The Cycra number plate is worth the money and looks nicer.
