2001 Kx125 questions

Allright guys, i found this really really amazing deal in my local newspaper for a 2001 kx125 with fmf pipe and silencers, pro tapers, and excel rims for 2grand. im just wondering how this bike is? is the chromoly frame used in this year's bike? and also how is the power on the thing? i just want to know so i can just make sure i am getting a good bike.

If your coming off of a TTR-125 its a good bike to start. It will give you ok decent enough power, way more than a TTR125. If it's mechanically sound then 2G's is a good deal for it. If it needs some stuff then I'd work that price down. Take a good look over it before you settle for 2000.

I have an '01 KX125 that I like quite a bit. It was purchased new, in the crate, in '03 and raced for 1 season. I paid $2000 for it last October w/ Pro Circuit pipe and silencer, Pro Taper bars, cool graphics, PR2 suspension, and other small stuff. I've been sort of trying to sell it for the past 2 months at $200 less than I paid with no bites at all, not one. Great bike, but I just can't maintain 5 bikes (KDX200, KX125, TTR-125LE, JR80, XR50).

$2000 is not a screaming good deal, IMHO.

oh well it was a really good deal i could find in my local newspaper thing. there was an 03 one i was going to get, but it sold so im going to check this one out and hopefully i will like it and end up buying it.
