2002 CR 250 ignition problem

Has anyone encountered igniton component problems with 2002/03 CR250? If so, what did it turn out to be--altenator,coil ECM, other?

I am pretty sure I have a weak ignition that mis fires and/or cuts out --especially under high load open throttle conditions such as just after a shift on an up hill run. Reeds, compression, carb, vent hoses, plug and seals all check fine . A simple kick with the piug pulled out and held to ground reveals occasional no spark or possibly a weak orange spark instead of a nice strong blue spark that can give you a good jolt!

i experanced rich jetting that caused the plug to foul witch would cause the condition you stated

what did you end up having to do about the bad ignition? i know this is a old thread but i hope some 1 replys
