2002 kx65

I want to know about how much should i pay for a new kx65?? Went by the dealership today and the salesman said it was 3400 OTD.. I paid 4700 on my 2001 kx250 and got $300 in accesories.. ANy info would be appreciated..

3,400 seems kinda high, we paid $2,868 OTD for my Son's 2002 KX65. Keep in mind this is the second bike we purchased there. None of the shops around here really support MX, but since he is the fastest 65 rider around, they wanted him on their bike. They also give him 15% off all parts. I looked on kawasaki.com they post $2,849 as the MSRP.

Thanks KXRider for the info.. I should go by the dealer where i bought my bike at and see what they can do for me.. How does your son like his bike?? Has he done any mods to it?? Any info would be appreciated..

To be truthful my Son is tall for 9 so we got him a 2002 YZ85 about 3 months ago and 80s are all he talks about now, but he is very fast on the 65 and likes his results. We just got both his cylinders ported and back from Eric Gorr and have'nt even got them fully broken in yet, but Eric's mods are going to be great. He has a procircuit pipe and silencer for the 65 under the tree. We run C-12 fuel and Yamahalube R-2 oil. If he sticks with the 65, we will most likely send the suspension to MX-Tech after the indoor series is over this winter.
