2002 rm 125 stator question

Ok so my stator is dead and i need a replacement. The problem is that i cant find any after market stators. The $300+ oem stator is simply out of my price range. I can find an after market stator for every year except 2002. Whats with this? and does anyone know if any other years are compatible with the 2002 model.

I don't know if other years are compatible but you may be able to get the coil(s) rewound. Check with a local electric motor repair shop. Also Kawasaki and Suzuki were basicaly the same bike during those years, perhaps the parts are cheaper through kawi.
