N notiller Member Dec 16, 2006 1 0 Dec 16, 2006 #1 Hi everyone iam new here so bear with me. I bought a 2002 XR 80 today and when i got it home i noticed the motor would die when you threw the trottle wide open real fast. Works fine if you do it at a normal speed. Whats wrong is the carb. Thanks

Whats wrong is the carb. Click to expand... That is normal for a 4stroke with a standard carb. You may be able to improve it a little bit with jetting changes but for the most part it is normal.
