Hello,

I am a nebie to trailriding and just bought a 2003 KDX220. I weigh about 260 Lbs and was wondering what needs to be done to the front forks and rear shock to get the best performance from my bike at my weight. I heard it is set up for a 140 LB rider. Can I just make adjustments witht the stock equiptment or should I Replace them with better components.

You most definately want new front fork springs, and probably a new rear spring. The stock forks, and shock, should be ok to start, you just need stronger springs in them.

Send the forks to MX-Tech (www.mx-tech.com) for stiffer springs and a revalve for your weight and riding terrain. The rear spring probably also needs to be stiffer for your weight.

Check with Jeremy, he'll set you up right...
