2006 Furnace Hare Scramble - Sept. 16-17 - Hole Shot Awards Added

We are at it again... this is our 4th year at Prairie City OHV (Sacramento, CA) and we are planning on being bigger and better than ever. We expect over 100 women racers and 300 youth racers this year.

We added some new classes, which I will post later. But I did want to share some breaking news...

We will be offering a $1500 purse for the overall winners of the women's sportsman race. A major sponsor - Roseville Cycle Center has ponied up the cash and will distribute it as follows:

1st Place: $700
2nd Place: $350
3rd Place: $200
4th Place: $150
5th Place: $100

You do not see many - if any payouts for women's cross country races, so we are very excited about this addition.

Hole shot awards have been added to the A B and C women's races. M Construction Design, Inc. has ponied up $100 hole shot awards for each class!
