2007 Furnace NATIONAL Women/Youth HS

We would like to invite the DRN women riders and racers to the 2007 Furnace HS in Sacramento. This year:

1) It pays National Hare Scramble Points - it is the first and only stand alone women's national off-road race
2) The women's race will have a $2,000 purse
3) There will be $100 hole shot awards for every class
4) The race will be 2 hours (beginner women will have a seperate 90 minute race)
5) Free camping and only a $45 entry fee
6) Over $6,000 in contingency prizes
7) Also pays factory contingency at the National HS level
8) BBQ and band saturday evening
9) Scheduled for the weekend of August 18-19 (the women's race is Sunday morning) - no conflcts with any other series!
10) The women's race is just that - women only, and there will be some fast ones racing!
11) A great beginner women's race Saturday afternoon - with multiple age classes!

Come up and be a part of women's off road racing history in the making!

The course will be about 6 miles in length. Mostly “high desert” type of terrain with 5-6 technical single track sections to keep speeds down. It will include a short “enduro-cross” section with some small logs, etc. near the finish. We will also use about 1 mile of mx track, with no jumps and a very entertaining grass track. About 1/3 of Prairie City OHV is a gnarly rock garden, our course will NOT use that part of the park.

It will be very spectator friendly.

86 women and girls, nearly 400 youth/women combined. Multiple National champions in the women's race. The most exciting and competitive women's off-road race race ever.

It was better than we could have hoped for!

I hope I can find something like this over here in the right side of the country, for my daughter to start her competition. She thinks that she is ready!
