I'm looking to get myself a new mx bike, but can't decide between the 250 or 450. I've owned a ttr230 for 2 years and think its way too heavy and I want to hit some jumps now. I rode my friends yfz450 almost all day, a couple days ago and felt right at home with the power, it was literally perfect for me as I ride aggressive. I did get a chance to test drive my neighbors crf450r, except I rode on the road for about 5 mins, that's it. But it did feel comfortable. Anyone own both bikes and could tell me the power difference between the two?

I go to the dunes and deserts during the summer, but at home there are a lot of woods and trails.

what about the 450x, seems like a good in between combination. more powerful than 250r, less powerful than 450r, by a little. also has headlight and electric start, perfect for dunes. Bad thing is its about 20-30 pounds heavier than 450r.
