Currently the School boy class is 12-17 years old 0-200cc. That makes it impossible to run a big bike 4-stroke in the school boy class. What are the chances of an ama rule change in the future to allow 250F’s to run school boy. With all the push for 4-strokes you would think they would want riders to transition from minis to big bikes in an age class.

I believe the schoolboy class rules were put in place to subsidize the faltering sales of two strokes in order to pacify luddites.

of course, they'll say something about bridging the gap between minis and big bikes.
