Does anyone know why the AMA allows 250F's to race the 125 class in motocross but they do not allow 250F's to race the 200 class in enduros but 125's must run the 200 class.
Just wondering if anyone knows their reasoning for this.
I wonder how many 250F's would have sold if they could'nt race the 125 class. We would have missed out on a great bike, but it's too bad it likely will make the 125 obsolete.
I imagine 150F s will be racing the 85 class in MX soon but the manufacturers might feel the additional cost factor may scare some parents off.
My son races the 125 class and I finally convinced him to get a 250F this year.I felt the 125s were at a big disadvantage and they have to work so hard to run with the 250s.(5 top ends,1 lower end and 1 cylinder in 1 year) He did'nt want to race a 4 stroke. I decided to get one too even though I ride an age group class. They are definitly a lot more bike. We both really like them.
Having said that, I still think the 125s were a lot of fun for motocross and a good bike to learn on. Soon the advantage of the 250F will be gone cause there will be all 4 strokes. That seems kinda sad, does'nt it? Does anyone foresee a future for the little tiddler?
