I have a 2000 350 XT Yamaha. I can`t get this bike to idle when it is cool out. If I pull out the choke(enricher) just a tad it runs ok. I need to know which plug to drill out to adjust the idle mixture . Bike runs ok in the hot summer. thanks Jim :bang:

Generally, the screw is located under a plug on the bottom of the carb, forward of the float bowl. On the Yam, I think it is the LH carb that has the float bowl and the idle circuit.

It is a good idea to take the needle all the way out and clean out any debris/varnish that may be in the idle circuit.

Thanks Chris , I will check that. I found the right intake manifold leaking. The rubber was seperating from the flange. New one on order. Thats why it had rough idle and real hard to start. It also ran hot in the summer. I was thinking about a jet change but not now. The new intake should bring it back to a nice smooth running machine. Jim
