I'm a beginner rider and I just bought a kx80 from my friend for dirt cheap yet I'm too big for the bike itself. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to start? Also I'm a college student so my budget isn't very high. Thanks in advance!

A small bike with abrupt power delivery is not a good thing for someone learning. I would suggest seeing how much money you can get out of it and look into buying something that fits you.

There isn't much you can do to "make the bike bigger".
