My '79 TS250 is running lean and my wife put my service manual away - which means neither of us may ever see it again. Which way richens the fuel mixture, turning the air screw in or out?
Is the engine revving by itself? A lean mix could be caused by a blown crank seal on the magneto side, letting air into the crankcase. That seal can be replaced without splitting the crankcases, but you'll need a flywheel puller.
but where do i get the seals?
i picked up a 72 250 the other day, with some carb cleaner, and a bit of gas in the tank,it ran my kid around the yard a few times, original tires and all.
i can see parts is going to be an issue i think.
