Hi, how do I go about repacking the stock silencer? Cut it open, then weld it back up? I'm not even sure it needs it but considering its age and the fact that its alot louder than the newer bikes around here. What kind of packing goes in there?

I believe a DG silencer will bolt right up.

yeah, Zoom thats looks easy enough to modify. Cash is tight these days so I will go ahead and cut it up. Where do I get packing from?

Check out Circle F in Texas. They quoted me $45 for a silencer for my 77 RM250. You could keep the stocker for looks.
