I'm currently in the process of making a hybrid quad using an '88 RM250 bottom end. Let me say I'm new to two-strokes before I go any further. I have rebuilt numerous small fourstrokes, but the last was around two years ago. Anyway I'm going to put new gaskets and crank bearing/seals in the bottom end. I'm currently trying to get a topend for it. Here's where most of my questions come in. I'm want the quad to be pretty fast, but also reliable. With that in mind what bore should I go with? I'll probably be using a Wiseco and I've seen them from std. bore to a 2mm overbore. Also how do these motor react to porting? Finally does anyone know or know where I could find the torque specs for all of the bolts? Thanks.
