I was just curious, because some guy keeps phoning my cell and the area code is 911...

He keeps asking for ali, and akmad and no matter how much I yell at him he keeps talking.

Very odd stuff...

So is there a 911 area code?

I can post the whole number if need be.

Umm.....okay that's odd.

Why is someone with a 911 area code calling ME?

Okay so a question that no one can answer, but it's still making me wonder....

Thats odd

Whats scary is I tried to do a reverse look up and found nothing but when I tried my unlisted phone number I found maps to my house and a link to my e-mail.

It is possible to program a cell phone to display any number they want. If they have a 9-11 area code, I would think it is a statement of very bad taste.

If you want to see if the number is valid, just drop the 911 and dial the last numbers (842-2929). If it's not a local number try 403 or 780 area codes.

Just turn it in to your phone company, I think they won't find it very amusing and will follow up.

India has a prefix of 91 so it's most likely international number starting with the 91 then the rest of the number. What'd you order from there, must have bought some curry on Ebay or something!:)

I understand that but it may not display the 0's and 1's in the beginning.

And yes, you can edit your own phone number that is displayed from a cell phone.

It's his mail order bride's family. They're still waiting for the dowry. Pony up, man. You don't need the sheep anymore anyhow.

Well I don't even want to attempt to call the number back because chances are the second I hit 911, ill be connected to the emegency line.

It's starting to tick me off, im wondering who it is and why they keep calling me in class LOL...

Maybe ill just call my cell provider and have them look into it.

As for the sheep zio, your right I don't need it anymore. As long as you keep coming over wearing that sheep costume you rented.

baaa..... :flame:
