I hurt this guys feelings really bad last weekend when I blew him away on my 94 YZ250 vs. his 06 YZF250... I guess he didn't know it takes a 450 4 stroke to beat a 250 two smoke. :nener:

Yeah these bikes are in different classes for a reason. Assuming equally skilled riders, the rider on the 250 2 stroke definitely has the advantage.

It feels great to shut people down like that. I love doing it to the guys on there 400, 440 & 450 quads. When you beat them by 5 bike links and then after everybody is done laughing you tell them "hey I got a bad start too."

Yeah, the guy gave me props on how fast my bike was. Then he was asking me what year it was and how much I paid for it. When I told him it was a 94 and I picked it up for $900 you should have seen the look on his face. :bang: I guess I wouldn't be very happy if I got smoked by a bike 12 years older and $6,000 cheaper :)

I had a 94 yz250 back in the day and it ripped pretty good. My friend had the 94 cr250 and my bike would hang neck for neck with his. My yz was ultra reliable and never left me hanging.

That's nice, but those bikes aren't drag bikes. Get them on a moto track and it will be a different story - chasis and suspension on the newer bikes make all the difference

oldfrt613,
My suspension isn't stock and my bike handles great...

Asrith,
Up hill on a trail... it wasn't anything to do with being a better rider my bike was just flat out faster...

Yeah I been really wondering about these 250f's, have not had a chance to ride one. I had a 97 Cr 250
that ripped too for what that is worth, thing was a screamer.
