96 Polaris Trail Boss

I have a 1996 Polaris Trail Boss and it hasn't ran in 3 years and i finally fired it up today and it doesn't want to idle, i cleaned the carb, wat should i do to get it to run right? :think:

Start with the basics and don't assume they are correct until you test them.

Think FACTS :

Fuel, Air, Compression, Timing, Spark

verify each, and make sure they function properly and the engine doesn't have much choice but to start.
