98 250 sx

i am replacing my friends air box on his 98 sx 250,i noticed the air boot is not set up like my kx.I do not see a outside bracket to pull the air boot on to the air box.Iwant to take out the air boot and transfer it to the new airbox,can someone tell me what holds the air boot to the air box.THANKS

Nothing, it holds itself. When looking at the end of the air boot that connects to the airbox you will notice a flange/rim with a groove in it. The airbox sits in that groove.

I hope this makes sense...
